01 / CHARACTER

The keeper of fallen stars

Aerwyn Forestglow

A gentle hunter follows the lights that fall between the trees, catching each one in a net woven from silver thread.

Aerwyn knows the forest by sound. A star caught in the brambles makes a noise like a spoon touching glass. One buried beneath the roots hums low enough to feel through the soles of a boot. Most people hear nothing at all.

Every night, Aerwyn carries the lost lights to an arch in the oldest part of the woods. Every morning, another constellation returns. But tonight the net is empty, and a new voice is calling from inside their locket.

Never leaves a light behind, even when it asks to stay.
Read the secret

Aerwyn was once a fallen star. Returning to the sky would mean forgetting every person they have come to love.

02 / PLACE

A forest that remembers the sky

The Whispering Woods

The paths move while nobody is looking. A line of small, luminous mushrooms is the only trail that keeps its word.

Travelers tie ribbons to branches here. By dawn, the trees have traded them. The old road still appears on every map, although nobody has walked it twice. Aerwyn follows the night-bloom mushrooms instead. They lean toward whatever has fallen from the sky.

At the heart of the forest stands an arch without a wall. Through it, the stars are close enough to touch. The stones grow colder with each missing light, and this winter a frost has begun to spread from the arch into the roots.

Leave a ribbon for the next traveler. Do not expect to find it again.
Read the secret

The arch opens both ways. Something on the other side has been learning the names of the people who pass beneath it.

03 / OBJECT

One small light. One unfinished promise.

The Lumenstone Locket

A silver locket keeps a little light from every star Aerwyn has rescued. Tonight it holds a voice as well.

The opal inside this locket is never quite the same color. Hold it near a lost star and a thin gold line appears across its surface, pointing toward the arch. Open it, and it plays a few notes from a song nobody remembers learning.

Its maker left no signature. Only a tiny notch interrupts the silver rim, as though it once fitted into something larger. Aerwyn has worn it for years without wondering why it always feels warm, even in the snow.

The song changes when its owner tells a lie.
Read the secret

The locket is a key. Its missing half belongs to someone who wants the arch to stay closed forever.
